How to Print and export reports and diagrams
You can print and export reports based on your models, on simulation profiles, and on the results of analysis that you run. Two output formats are available as choices for your exported reports: PDF, and Microsoft Word format (.docx).
-
- Setting the text size in generated reports
Normally the default text sizes for a generated report are useful. However, if you find that the text in a generated report is too large or too small to be useful, you can change the size of the text.
- Printing and exporting predefined reports
You and print and export any of the predefined reports. However, the different types of predefined reports must be accessed from different parts in the product.
- Printing and exporting custom reports
You can print and export custom reports based on report templates that you or another person has created in the Report Designer. |
You can print process diagrams, structure diagrams, structure definition diagrams, and simulation profile diagrams. You can also export diagrams to SVG, JPG, and PDF formats. A printed diagram will be a precise copy of the diagram that appears in the diagram's editor.
Before you print or export a diagram, ensure that the final product will be useful by ensuring that the diagram is readable in its editor and that the diagram elements do not overlap. Also check that WebSphere® Business Modeler is in the correct mode to display the diagram information that you want to print or export. For example, if you want to see inputs and outputs in the process diagram, make sure that you are working in the Advanced mode.
-
- Printing diagrams from a diagram editor
Printing a diagram from a diagram editor allows you to conduct a final review of the diagram before printing. It also allows you to print a wider variety of diagrams than you are able to print from the Project Tree view.
- Exporting diagrams from a diagram editor
Exporting a diagram from a diagram editor allows you to create PDF, JPG and SVG files from your diagram. You can use it to create printable copies of your diagrams.
- Setting diagram page layout preferences
Diagram print preferences define the initial page layout values for all new diagrams, and provide the values used when you restore default page layout settings . The diagram print preferences also allow you to change the unit of measurement used by all of the diagrams in the product.
- Setting diagram page layout settings
The page layout settings define the paper on which you will print a specific diagram and any scaling of the diagram that you want to occur when you print.
- Showing print page breaks
To optimize the usability of printed diagrams and diagrams exported to PDF format, you can show the page breaks that will divide a diagram at the time of printing or export, based on the page layout settings for the diagram. |
